AJAX, Java Web, RSS/ATOM, SEM/SEO, blogs, JSON, XML o APIs REST, entre otros, son algunos de los nuevos términos que se escuchan en las empresas.

5. Tecnología móvil corporativa:

Los teléfonos inteligentes ofrecen la posibilidad de controlar el correo corporativo y hasta la intranet de la empresa desde cualquier lugar. La competencia este mercado tal vez sea la más fuerte del momento. Windows Mobile, Symbian OS, Android, RIM Blackberry, Linux, Java, Mac y Palm OS hace rato que recorren este camino.

IBM, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft y Sun buscan ayudar a sus clientes mediante la gestión sistemática de grandes volúmenes de datos organizados en procesos históricos. La idea es mejorar la gestión y controlar con mayor rigor el cumplimiento de las metas establecidas.

7. Gestión de contenidos:

La gestión de activos digitales (Digital Asset Management, DAM) busca clasificar y digitalizar la información para ser fácilmente recuperables. Aquí se hace referencia a documentos, videos, mapas y otros grandes volúmenes de datos. Este segmento de mercado es liderado por IBM, Hyland Software, EMC, Open Text, Oracle, Microsoft, Xerox o HP, entre otras.
